- Deeter was born in the bay area and raised in Sacramento, California. Her first experience abroad was a brief trip to Bermuda where her mother tried to kill her twice by crashing their moped into various inanimate objects (a coral wall, a truck). When she was 16 she participated in a cultural exchange trip to Alajuela, Costa Rica where she discovered she is not the type of person who can go without sunscreen. After attending college in Ohio (the College of Wooster ‘04), she lived in Nantes, France for a year and then moved back to Cali – San Francisco – where she spent 2 years with roommates of varying degrees of cleanliness and sanity while she worked as a paralegal for two immigration law firms.

- Deeter is very glad to be on the road again! Though she will miss her running shoes, her mother’s meatloaf and America’s Next Top Model.
